Two kinds of open

Forget Dinner vs Feeld: Find Your Kind of Open

Feeld is made for the open-minded and for couples. Forget Dinner is a plain casual dating site. Here is how that plays out.

The short answer

Feeld suits you if you want an app made for open-minded people and couples, with Desires, linked profiles and a vocabulary of its own. Forget Dinner suits you if you want a straightforward casual dating site in your browser, where one line on your profile says what you are after.

Feeld’s app has been on the App Store since 2014, and its maker, Feeld Ltd, is registered in England and Wales. What this page says about Feeld comes from Feeld’s own pages and its store listing, as they stood on 16 October 2026. Feeld has a clear idea, and the only question is whether the idea is yours.

Feeld in its own words

What do Desires, Pings and Connections mean on Feeld?

Feeld has a vocabulary of its own, and it is part of the appeal. These are the working terms, as Feeld explained them on 16 October 2026.

Desires and Interests
Lists on your profile where you say what you are into, in and out of the bedroom. Majestic members can filter by Desires.
Connection
What a mutual Like becomes. Chat opens from your Connections screen only once you both Like.
Ping
A bolder first move that carries a personal note. Feeld likens a Like to catching someone’s eye across a bar and a Ping to walking over to say hello.
Uplift
A 24-hour visibility boost you can buy, which puts your profile near the front of Discover.
Majestic
Feeld’s paid membership, shown as a red M on a profile. It adds seeing who liked you, Incognito mode, private photos and unlimited Likes.
Incognito
Hides your profile until you choose to Like someone. Anyone can hide from Discover, but Incognito belongs to Majestic.
Paired profile
Links your profile with up to five other members, so partners or friends can explore together. Group chats sit alongside.
Glossary
Feeld’s site defines more than 100 terms across desires, genders, sexual identities and kinds of arrangement, and in the app you can tap and hold an option to see what it means.

Forget Dinner’s own vocabulary would fit on a menu card: three tiers (Classic, VIP and VIP Plus) and two add-ons (Boost and Super Match). Whether that feels restful or a touch beige is a matter of taste.

The plain alternative

What does a plain casual dating site look like?

  • One line says it all

Put the kind of dating you want on your profile in plain words. There is nothing to look up first.

  • Suggestions that listen

Each day’s matches weigh your age range, distance and how often people are around, and whether they want something casual or friendship.

  • Rooms when you want company

VIP opens exclusive chat rooms and private group chats of up to 50 people, for when you would rather have company than a one-to-one.

The features page shows what Classic, VIP and VIP Plus each add.

Where Feeld shines

When Feeld suits you better

  • You are a couple. Paired profiles link up to five members, and group chats are built in.
  • You want your desires named. Desires and Interests give you a place to say what you are into.
  • You are exploring non-monogamy. Feeld’s FAQ explains ethical non-monogamy and calls the app a great place to meet people who practise it.
  • You want room to describe yourself. Feeld offers over 20 sexuality and gender options, changeable as often as you like.
  • You want to meet at socials. Feeld runs socials and talks of its own and lists dates in London.
  • You want to stay hidden until you choose. Incognito mode and private photos put you in charge of who sees what.

If those sound like you, Feeld is the natural place to start. If you would rather keep things simple, our guide to casual dating apps in the UK lines Forget Dinner up against the rest, and the comparisons with Tinder and Pure cover two more.

Questions people ask about Feeld

Is Feeld a hookup app?

Feeld says it can be used for hookups, then calls the label limiting: its own pages describe everything from casual fun to connections that last for years. Forget Dinner describes itself plainly as a casual dating site, so casual is the starting point rather than one option among many.

What does Feeld Majestic add?

Feeld says its basic app lets you message after a mutual Like. An optional paid membership, Majestic, adds extras such as seeing who liked you, while Pings and Uplift are bought separately. On Forget Dinner everyone begins on Classic, and the paid tiers on the pricing page are VIP and VIP Plus.

Can I use Feeld in a browser?

Feeld says it is only available as a mobile app, so you need the iPhone or Android version to browse profiles or chat. Forget Dinner lives in the browser on any phone or computer, and it installs to your home screen as a web app if you want the app feel.

Who is on Feeld, and who is on Forget Dinner?

Feeld says it is for the curious: singles, couples and linked profiles of any gender or sexuality, aged 18 or over. Forget Dinner is for adults of 18 and over as well. Around six in ten members are aged 35 to 54, and in the UK the number of women is close to the number of men.

How private is each one?

On Feeld anyone can hide their profile from Discover, and Majestic adds Incognito mode and private photos. On Forget Dinner you appear as a username with your nearest town or city, and your real name and email stay hidden. The site also sits in a network of partner sites, so members of those sites can find your profile too. The safety page lists the rest.
